Cracks up to 12 inches — repaired on-site
Not every crack means you need a new windshield. Many cracks up to about 12 inches can be stabilized and repaired right where your car is parked, which usually costs far less than a replacement. Crack repair depends more on the specific crack than chip repair does, so Marc looks at your photo first and tells you honestly whether repair makes sense.
What's Included
ClearPath Mobile Auto specializes in windshield chip and crack REPAIR, plus headlight and exterior trim restoration. We do not perform full windshield replacement, side or rear window replacement, or sunroof repair. If your damage is too large or badly placed to repair safely, Marc will tell you honestly and point you toward a replacement shop — no charge, no pressure.
A crack that starts small can keep growing with bumps, heat, and temperature swings, so the sooner it's repaired, the better. If yours is under about 12 inches and doesn't reach the edge of the glass, there's a good chance it can be repaired. If it can't, you'll know from the photo before you pay anything.

Common Questions
Usually up to about 12 inches. Cracks that reach the edge of the glass or have several branches often need a replacement instead. Marc gives a first read from your photo and confirms on-site before starting.
No. You'll still be able to see a line, but it will be less noticeable, and the goal is to keep it from spreading.
No. That's why we ask for a photo first. If it can't be repaired, you won't be charged anything.
It depends on the length and type of crack. Short cracks can sometimes be done in under an hour, but most crack repairs take longer. Marc will give you a time estimate when he quotes you.
No. We only do repair, and if you need a replacement we'll point you to someone who does them.
End to end, along the full length of the crack. Up to 3" is $89, over 3" up to 6" is $120, and over 6" up to 14" is $135. Past 14", replacement is usually the better choice, and we'll say so upfront.
